ANNE FLORIO BLUES BAND - R&B / BLUES / FUNK band with an intuitive R&R Feel made up of Anna Florio (lead voice) and her BLUES DIGGERS, passionate and multicultural musicians who are in Palma de Mallorca,Balearic Islands. All with influences that lead to the creation of music that gives wings to the soul, flight to the imagination and life to each memory. The influences range from iconic artists in the music history of the Blues era, and many still alive as legends in this wonderful music. Such as: BB KING,ETTA JAMES, DEE DEE BRIDGEWATERS, BIG MAMA THORNTON, MUDDY WATERS, KOKO TAYLOR, BONNIE RIATT, ARETHA FRANKLIN, SUSAN TEDESCHI, BETH HART, ALBERT KING, ROBERT JOHNSON, JOHN LEE HOOKER, etc.

The first released production entitled “WOMAN IN BLUES” includes two unedited and unreleased songs (A. Florio / Mavic Bush) (STILL LEFT IN YOUR HEART, and TROUBLES OF MY SOUL). It is a tribute under the style and interpretive voice of Anne, in memory of those great women who throughout the history of music in the genre BLUES / SOUL / GOSPEL / FUNK set guidelines, but also suffered much discrimination at the time and as well as much of their work being usurped by white artists such as: Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, Rolling Stones among so many others.
